Bone Broth continues to inspire conversation!
Debut Novelist Lyndsey Ellis has written a book that continues to inspire conversations among young minds in college.
Bone Broth, published by Hidden Timber Books in June 2021 and written by Debut Novelist Lyndsey Ellis, has been chosen for a second time as Maryville University's First-Year Read.
Last year, Maryville University shared Bone Broth with their Freshman class and invited Lyndsey to speak at the university. Her talk and her novel left a lasting impression, and they have invited Lyndsey to return in Fall 2023 and discuss her novel again with a new incoming class.
We knew from the very first read of Lyndsey’s manuscript that her story of Justine, Raynah, Lois, and Theo would be a wonderful book. We were thrilled to hear that won the Friends of American Writers Fiction Award in 2022. We cannot thank Maryville University enough for recognizing the story’s value in discussions of Saint Louis history, culture, and literature.
Congratulations, Lyndsey!
